Men's Group

Whether we want to admit it or not men have a harder time than women sharing what is going on in our lives.  We want to be confident, appear as though we have it “together” and certainly don’t want anyone to know when we don’t. A small group of men from our community gather together to let down that guard, say what we need to say and be accepted and supported for who we are. This group is not about solving problems.  It’s about listening, sharing and understanding.  It has been a great place to talk about our relationships, our faith, our struggles, and our successes. 

Meeting the second Saturday of every month we gather at the church and have a light continental breakfast.  All men in the community are invited not just members of the church.  The book Care of the Soul by Thomas Moore is presently being used to spark discussion.

In addition to Saturday gatherings The Men at Church of the Savior occasionally get together to grill, laugh and tell stories. Once or twice a year we will also retreat to the mountains, providing a more intense opportunity to work our mantra, Thinking Critically…Living Faithfully.  We are a group open to receiving new members at anyplace you find yourself on your journey.
